Why You Should Consider An Anthro Design Scientific Furniture System

By Jason Barnes

There are one or two types of Anthro laboratory bench and they serve several uses. The basic Anthro lab bench is sometimes used in many laboratory settings and is similar in style and construction to a computer desk. It includes a top shelf, very like a desk top, that may go from 48 to 72 inches wide. The depth of the table-top is mostly 28 or 36 inches. The height can be either 29 or 35 inches tall. It has flat leveling guides on the bottom of two wide legs that help in keeping it stationary.

This sort of bench is used for a variety of purposes, such as holding computers or laptops that may be employed in laboratories or medical institutions. It can be utilized for holding medium sized laboratory apparatus like liquid handling devices or small analyzers. It does not come with castor wheels installed, but they can simply be acquired if mobility of this bench is required.

Though made smaller in comparison to some other scientific bench styles, this bench is rather sturdy. It is built to hold up to 300 pounds when in the mobile position and up to 400 pounds when kept still. It's also available in either metal or laminate finishes and the colours range in shades of silver to black. This kind of lab bench is often used in physician's offices for holding and moving certain medium sized gear such as EKG testing machines or monitors for keeping track of a patient's heart rate and blood pressure stats. It can also be utilised for carrying equipment from room to room for taking blood samples to be analysed in a medical laboratory.

A smaller, yet very versatile kind of lab bench is the AnthroCart scientific bench. This bench is compiled of 2 shelves, one larger and one smaller that are on 3 adjustable legs attached to a wide base. The legs of this bench can be adjusted from 24 inches up to 48 inches high. The larger shelf is 25.25 by 30 inches across and the littler shelf is 25.25 by 19 inches wide.

This bench is commonly used for transporting and shelving of such items as computers, printers, and scanners required in keeping laboratory records. The AnthroCart is available with either castor wheels or guide levels on the base. If castor wheels are favoured the selection of either 2.38 in. or 4 in. castors is available.
